Project Partners Ltd of Lugano consolidates further its skills with the acquisition of the new mandate QUA-MAG Gambarogno, entrusted by SBB AG of Bellinzona, as one of the leaders in the Swiss market in the implementation of engineering measures related to protection works for debris flows and rock-falls.
The mandate concerns the design and construction for a stretch of 11.8 km of several protection measures (36 zones), divided into priority measures one (17 zones) and two (19 zones), along the 631 Quartino-Dirinella line, between km 164.700 and km 175.700.
The main objective of the project is to reduce the risk for railway operations, as well as reduce the risk for people, due to the significant increase in freight train traffic by 2025 envisaged by SBB.
